Safe first responses

Use an approved internal build only. Do not bypass unexpected macOS warnings. A wrong mode requires confirmed restart with no state transfer. Sites accept HTTP(S) only; certificate bypass is unavailable and permissions are denied.

Cases and integrity

An active case cannot archive; restore an archived case before use. Stop work if a case folder was changed externally. An analyst switch drains work and retains same-case site state. Failed evidence is not completed evidence, and its files must not be moved manually.

Downloads and recovery

Browser downloads appear only in the current-run UI; OSINT downloads use the Download Ledger. Startup Recovery actions are exact, and Rescan is read-only. Unsupported material remains preserved.

Report an issue safely

Include the build, macOS and Mac, mode, exact visible error, and minimal steps. Never include passwords, cookies, case files, evidence, hostile bytes, or sensitive URLs.
